Straight and contra-angle handpieces – unique in every class
Whether you work with a high-speed handpiece or a low-speed instrument, you can be assured of top-class results for all indications.
For optimum work results, the right instruments are necessary – this is especially true during the educational years. Only with lightweight and easily handled tools will a precise outcome be achieved.
For dentistry students, turbines as well as straight and contra-angle handpieces are important throughout the clinical and pre-clinical studies.
With over 100 years of experience, innovating the realm of dental instruments, Dentsply Sirona has selected a collection of high-quality tools to create the Dentsply Sirona Academic Edition – everything a dentistry student will need to get started.
All Academic Edition’s instruments share specific characteristics that make them perfectly suited for dentistry students training in a university environment:
The instruments can be sterilized and thermally disinfected guaranteeing the highest level of safety.
Small head dimensions allow to view what is being worked on.
The instruments run smoothly and quietly which is ideal for classroom environments.
The instruments are made of top-quality materials to meet the demands of everyday use and guarantee the longevity.
Whether you work with a high-speed handpiece or a low-speed instrument, you can be assured of top-class results for all indications.
Our turbine portfolio offers products for every need. They all have one thing in common: complete operating control at maximum output – and, what’s more, they are quieter than ever before, making them the perfect tools for the classroom.
Turbines often get overused and the rotor suffers reducing the lifespan of the turbine. This is especially the case when students start their pre-clinical training. They have to get used to operating the instruments correctly and sparingly. The speed brake, invented by Dentsply Sirona, ensures that the idling speed of the turbine is limited without having a tangible impact on the turbine’s performance.
Turbines, straight and contra-angle handpieces, as well as ultrasonic scalers and tips, demand more and more care when reprocessing due to their narrow media ducts and intricate interior spaces. In addition to typical contaminants such as blood, saliva, secretions and tissue, there are also technical contaminants such as abrasion particles and oil residues. Each Dentsply Sirona instrument meets the highest standards for infection prevention in order to take these factors into account.
The retractive suction stop and “Quick Stop Function” prevent the ingress of bacteria and aerosols into the instrument. This reduces the risk of cross-contamination for each treatment. It also prevents contamination of the Treatment Center with bacteria from the patient’s mouth.
Dentsply Sirona’s superplastic forming technology allows the use of titanium for production. Smooth surfaces and minimal gaps enable safe, efficient processing of instruments. Thanks to the materials used, the instruments are compatible for every patient.
