Workflow with the Connect SW

1. Scan

Both Primescan and Omnicam can quickly and accurately generate an impression of the preparation, the antagonist and the bite in the patient’s mouth – powder-free and in color. You can interrupt and resume the scan procedure at any time.

2. Check

After the intraoral scan is taken, a virtual 3D model is calculated and displayed within seconds. Dentists can assess scan quality on the screen and rescan if necessary for fewer rework at the lab. The practicioner can also define the preparation margin or delegate this task to the dental lab.

Send

The practice uploads the 3D model to the Connect Case Center in just seconds and completes the digital order sheet. The desired dental laboratory is then selected and the order data transmitted.

Additionally, data can be transferred with the open STL format.

Connect Case Center

Dentsply Sirona’s unique portal for fast and easy collaboration – gives dentists the option to transmit data securely and also anonymized, if desired. With the click of a button, the laboratory or partner receives complete case information immediately. Thus, dentist and lab can discuss the case and exchange additional information in real time while the patient is still in the chair.

Time savings - the 3D model data is loaded directly from the Connect software to the Connect Case Center, thus transport times and costs are a thing of the past. The digital order sheet and transmission can be delegated to the assistant as usual. The dental laboratory receives information immediately by e-mail confirming receipt of the order.

Faster secure data transfer - No more data transfer via email, USB or online data transfer providers. Now you can just upload your file to the Connect Case Center Inbox straight out of your software. With Inbox, labs can immediately download it from there in a secure and documented workflow.

Easier communication between the dentist and the lab - Via the chat function, dentists can communicate in real time with dental technicians, even while treatment is still ongoing. Inbox documents everything, thus labs have an overview of all orders including order details, scan data, and your communication at all time, making communication easier and more efficient.

Open to any lab software - Dentsply Sirona intraoral scan data can be exported to any lab software such as exocad and 3Shape. Labs can proceed with their favorite design and manufacturing steps while benefiting from easy integration into their existing CAD/CAM workflows.
